SoCal Eats: Arc

October 26, 2015

If you happen to wander over to the southern coast of the Golden State, the sun-drenched beaches where you get nothing but balmy 80°F temperatures year-around and tans that last you through the New Year, then we have a collection of amazing foodie spots that you ought to try out which will likely end up on your must-have-again list. As locals here, we can confidently say that you will discover SoCal to be the great melting pot of cuisines. The diversity of foods here will satisfy your taste buds each day of the week. We find ourselves asking the same question every night- “What do you feel like eating tonight? Thai, italian, mediteranean, mexican…?

Well this week in particular, our spotlight is on (mostly bacon) artisan style food that’s prepared over “open fire in a kitchen where there is nowhere to hide.” There’s just something classic about a dish that is prepared in cast iron or clay, it not only looks like a work of art in our opinion, but the rustic flavors of the perfectly roasted meat, creamy cheeses, and tender greens are hard to beat. And guess what? We’ve found just the place for you carnivores- Arc.

Dessert

For those of you with a sweet tooth, you can walk around the corner for a number of dessert locations. Our choice was ST Pâtisserie Chocolat for some authentic French pastry goodness.

Owned by world renowned pastry chef, Stephane Treand, the cafe’s desserts were exquisite and delectable. Have a look-see!
